About

Owners writing for owners

We are not a breeder and we are not selling puppies. We are people who live with these dogs and got tired of watching new owners learn the hard way.

Why this site exists

Too many Corsos end up in rescue

The breed exploded in popularity, and a lot of that growth came from people who saw an impressive-looking dog online and skipped the homework. The dogs pay for that. Surrenders of under-socialised, under-trained Corsos are far too common.

We made this guide to put the honest version in one place: what the breed is really like, what it asks of you, and how to do right by a dog that will give you everything if you give it structure first.

A note on responsibility

This site is informational. It is not a substitute for a good vet, a qualified trainer, or an experienced breeder or rescue. With a powerful breed, professional support is not a weakness, it is the mark of a serious owner. Please use us as a starting point, not the last word.

Get in touch

Questions about the breed, a story about your own dog, or a correction if we have got something wrong? Write to us at [email protected]. We read everything and we are always glad to talk Corso.

Do the homework. The dog is worth it.

Start with the breed guide, then the first-year care plan. An informed owner is the best thing that can happen to a Cane Corso.
